This was the first year that i whispered to myself, “I am gay.” I was not prepared to make that self-awareness extend any further, but with my best friend’s wedding approaching that summer, ‘Holden Caulfield’ was certainly giving me somewhere to place my angst. I stayed awake through alot of that summer’s nights; Often taking a 3am run through the neighbourhood to clear my head and tire myself out enough to sleep. I wouldn’t trade that experience for anything less.
